The mastering process has evolved alongside OTT platforms. The deliverables requested by platforms have become more sophisticated, as has the process. Óxido, while at the forefront of each process, has grown in scale. We now have two mastering suites, both suites utilizing various tools for mastering and QC, both audio and video.
Mastering is a multisensory process, where the 5 senses are required in their maximum concentration to carry out image and sound analysis.
Our team is technically trained to evaluate and analyze the image and sound of each project, with extensive experience. The review and QC process is based on a human process, where specialists perform a frame-by-frame inspection to detect errors visible to the human eye.
After this process, each piece is further processed through various software programs that perform an extremely detailed analysis of each frame. This ensures the detection of various possible errors and generates reports that support the process.
Regarding sound, the suites are equipped with monitors where we can hear and analyze stereo, 5.1, 7.1, and Atmos mixes. This gives our clients the confidence that what was mastered is accurate.
