The use of artificial intelligence in image restoration has proven to be remarkably effective. The results achieved in our most recent project were truly outstanding. Matando Cabos, a film from 2004, was restored by our team a few months ago, and the progress we made was remarkable.
Throughout the process, we achieved precise pixel regeneration, recovered focus in numerous scenes, and applied advanced grain reduction techniques to clean up the image. Once the restoration was complete, we carefully reintroduced grain to preserve the original cinematic aesthetic.
The restoration took approximately two months, as each scene required a specific combination of processes. Although we initially experimented with AI-only workflows, we found that the best results came from integrating a variety of techniques. The team in charge designed and implemented custom intermediate steps that allowed us to reach the desired level of quality.
